About

  • WHAT WOULD YOU BRING
As the new MuchMusic VJ, what would you bring to much?As the new Much Music VJ I can bring only myself!- and nothing less. A unique individual, full of spunk, that is equally eager and excited to embark on a new career. There is MUCH to do and I am ready to learn & participate; network; and get to experience T.O. and everything else in between, with everyone. From OOTD to the latest celebrity gossip I can promise I will continue to carry on the MUCH legacy. With that said I am ready to get my foot in the door, make no bones about it. I am your medium- so why not take advantage? I am ready for the challenges.
  • DESCRIBE YOU
How would your friends describe you?"Always busy" and "random". I do my very best to make ends meet with not only myself but also with my family and work. I think it shows a great level of commitment & responsibility. Especially when applying to jobs ;). With that said when I do have free time I do like to take advantage of it. I go anywhere my mind wants or do whatever it wants. Often I surprise myself. I usually end up discovering or re-discovering something about myself or my environment: learning a new language, trending styles and foods. I believe that could be something to share. I find it works as a basic foundation for staying updated with the world around me.
  • IF YOU COULD INTERVIEW ANYONE
If you could interview anyone, who would it be and what would you ask them?I would have to say Rihanna ( I know- no surprise here) but I find her an interesting specimen. 1. "Stay" is a very intimate and emotional song based on a series of events in your life. Do you ever feel that the life that you are currently living disconnects you from this song when considering your immediate status? 2. Can you elaborate on how you feel about your acknowledgment as "The New Princess Diana"? 3. What was the inspiration behind your Grammy dress? (Which which was an obvious stand out from the Grammy Dress Code. But loved) 4. Name one thing you had to do for your 25th birthday. 5.What inspired your lovely Azzedine Alaia wear for the Grammys 6. Can you elaborate on how you felt about you being hailed " The New Princess Diana".
  • CHANGED YOUR LIFE
Tell us about a song, artist or album that changed your life.Artist: Missy Elliot. She was always a captivating artist to me. Her versatility with music inspired me. From her numerous collaborations with Timbaland & Magoo (my favourite collaborations)to her own independent projects, it just showed how creative an individual can be. I would always look forward to her videos because there was always something different in them that caught my attention. It makes me secure about the choices that I make in my life no matter how different they may be from the status quo.
  • TRENDS
What are some big trends or issues affecting youth in Canada.Homelessness- Being a part of a foster family I am a solution to this problem but I know that my family can only do so much. Youth are young minds with lots of potential and a positive environment can foster positive individual. Employment- With all the economic turmoil lots of people find it difficult to obtain/ maintain a job yet an income is required to survive. I find the concept alone antithetical and believe MUCH more can be done. Bullying- I was once bullied (not pretty) I was once a bullier (not happy about it) and I was once a bystander (wish i could of done so MUCH more). I value equity. What is there to lose from that? Bullying happens around the world and if we learn to conquer it in Canada we can set an example for many more countries. Imaging- Every day an average individual is bombarded with thousands of advertisements that leave them questioning themselves leaving them with low self-esteem. Many individuals take to negative changes. We need to inspire versatility.
  • MUSIC EXPERIENCE STORY
What is your best music experience story? The best music experience is when I was invited to an indie show downtown, Toronto. There wasn't much people who showed up but I'm glad I did. By the end of the night everyone who came to the club left in very high spirits. The artists decided to make the best out of the turn out and took to the stage performing songs, cracking jokes, and dancing. Everyone was out of their seats jamming to the good music and soaking in the good vibes and the ride home was comical :) good times!
