From executive producer and hip-hop icon Queen Latifah and executive producer Dave Broome (The Biggest Loser), The Next: Fame is at your Doorstep will go on a nationwide search for undiscovered artists on the verge of stardom. In this new take on the music competition genre, superstar mentors, including pop legend Gloria Estefan, country star John Rich, pop sensation Joe Jonas and hip hop superstar Nelly, will travel to where the talent is, immersing themselves in the lives and towns of these local performers and preparing them for the chance to represent their home city on stage, live, in front of America.
John Rich is an American country music singer-songwriter from Tennessee. John Rich played bass guitar for the country music band Lonestar and later formed another group called Big & Rich with Big Kenny. Not only just a performer, John has co-written singles for artists like Faith Hill, Keith Anderson, Jason Aldean, and Gretchen Wilson. John Rich has also a great solo career with two solo studio albums under his belt. John Rich is also a philanthropist as he was able to raise over $1.5 million dollars as the winner of the 2011 season of Celebrity Apprentice.
