The eldest son of R&B singer and renowned bad boy Bobby Brown, Landon Brown has been performing since he was a kid. Born in 1986, Landon came into the world when his father's band New Edition was on the rise, long before Bobby was propelled into solo superstardom or met Whitney Houston.
Landon is a singer, songwriter and rapper who takes his lyrics just as seriously as his vocals. His music is inspired by his life experiences, so he hopes that people can relate to it. His musical influences include Prince, Maxwell, D'Angelo and Craig David.
Of his father's influence, Landon says, "I love my father, but he isn't the reason for my music. Just because you're someone's son doesn't mean you have the talent they have. But it also doesn't mean you can't be better than them either."
Being Bobby Brown's son is definitely an adventure. In fact, Landon Brown says he has a close but competitive relationship with his father -- the two often attempt to one-up each other. Now, as he hits the stage to Rock the Cradle, Landon just may have the last laugh.
