Revival

Show Info

MuchMoreMusic’s Revival celebrates the years gone by; the good ol’ days and maybe those better left gone! In “1994” host Traci Melchor takes you back to a time when Green Day came around and Hole was making waves in the hard rock scene. Reel 2 Reel had us Moving It, and Ini Kamoze was taking some hot steps. From Nelson Mandela’s rise to Keanu Reeves thrill ride, we’ve got it all on Revival: 1994.

Fashion Blog

For fashion in ‘94, I didn't really hang around the crowd where you would see baby-doll dresses. I was more into the hip hop so I definitely saw girls in high school who dressed more masculine. Back then you had artist like Da Brat, Boss, MC Lyte, Latifah and Salt N Pepa who (at that time) had a very masculine image to their style. So naturally this would influence their many female fans who grew up listening to them.

Movie Blog

Most would shout Pulp Fiction as the be all and end all of 1994. But my most memorable movie from that year was honestly "The Crow". I was and still am a comic book fan. I saw it in the theatre with my friends back then and it was just cool to watch. The effect weren't the best of the time but it added to the whole stylization of the movie. In present day every comic book hero and their mother is getting a movie. But to me movies like The Crow (and later on Blade) transcend the comic book and become stand alone cult classics.
