Paul Brothers quickly carved out a spot for himself as an ardent advocate of the thriving East Coast music scene. This Newfoundlander brings a fan’s enthusiasm to the job and clearly digs the opportunity to interview some of his favourite artists. With high-energy and a willingness to do anything to get the interview, Paul has bagged interviews with Feist, Daughtry, Finger Eleven, Nickelback, Good Charlotte, Grandmaster Flash Alexisonfire, Staind, Ian Mackaye, Bret Hart and more.
A SMOKIN’ BEGNINNING
Paul’s first job was to destroy a house! After his High School teacher’s house burned down, Paul was hired to annihilate what was left of the structure. His first paycheck was well earned!
A STAR IS BORN...
If Paul seems like a natural on air, it’s because broadcasting has always been second nature to him. In fact, Paul got his start in grade nine when he wired his own radio station at his school and would broadcast to his fellow students each morning.
AUDITIONING MADE EASY
The amateur went pro through regular radio work and polishing his skills through his degree in Journalism. When he auditioned for Much he was so ready, that he started his gig as co-host of Going Coastal the day after graduation. Needless to say, MuchMusic producers were impressed with Paul’s style, which he demonstrated in audition by staying focused on camera while an intoxicated passer-by kissed him on the neck, mid-take.

The Bands: Paul’s a fan of Rage Against the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age, Alice in Chains, Death From Above 1979, Tool, Shelter with Thieves, Feist, Neil Young, The Band, Wintersleep, and everything from Atlantic Canada.
The Burn: Paul doesn’t know low-gear, even when he’s not lugging around his videocamera, he’s burning calories on his mountain bike.
The Spurn: Paul’s youthful appeal has its drawbacks, as this VJ and videographer is regularly I.D.’d at bars when he shows up to cover bands, camera in tow.
