Leah on life: “It takes time and perseverance to accomplish big things.” Very prophetic, considering that’s precisely how this Torontonian scored a Much VJ spot after auditioning more than four years ago and pleasantly persisting until it was a lock in November 2004. Excited to make a positive difference via Much fame, this sprightly Cancer proudly proclaims she thrives on family – perfect for her, she’s now embraced by a crazy extended one at MuchMusic and millions of fans across Canada.
As co-host of MuchOnDemand, MuchMusic’s fan and celebrity showcase, Leah has chatted with some of the hottest stars around including Gwen Stefani, Good Charlotte, Jack Black, Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, Jared Leto and many more. Plus she recently hosted Live@Much specials featuring The Killers, The All-American Rejects and Hilary Duff.
MUSICAL ROOTS
Leah’s the youngest of four siblings - she’s got two older brothers and an older sister. "My mom tells me that she brought me to a record store when I was two years old. Michael Jackson's Thriller was playing and I started singing along in my stroller!”
A HAZARD IN HEELS
While wearing chic Christian Louboutin sky-high stilettos, Leah tripped on a mic stand and fell while hosting a live special. Although the moment has been forever memorialized on the internet and photos, she laughs about it now!
RIGHT NOW, LEAH WANTS PEOPLE TO KNOW...
…she’s passionate about her family. “I wouldn’t be who I am without my parents – selfless and loving people who instilled strong beliefs in me.” She also treasures
animals (like her kitty Bogart) and volunteer work. “Everybody should help out in small ways. Even if you don’t have money, time and effort are just as important. Little things mean a lot.”

Fave Films: Leah’s a hopeless romantic who curls up on the couch with movies like Serendipity, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Notting Hill and The Notebook. She also digs ‘80s classics like The Lost Boys, Ghostbusters and The Goonies.
Life-Changing Book: Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom. “It’s a great book everyone needs to read, to remind us of the things we forget, like taking life day by day. It’s a true story that made me bawl my eyes out and appreciate the important things.”
