More On Em

With her new album entitled; "Dream it Up", Em prepares for a breakout year. Following the 2006 release of her self titled debut album, 23 year old Em teamed up with Juno Award winning producer Russell Broom (Jann Arden, Josh Grobin, Sam Roberts) to produce a rocking follow up album that has since been gaining momentum online. Officially released on May 20, 2008, this collection of pop/rock songs highlights Em's growth as an independent artist, and sets her sound apart from other acts within the Canadian music scene.

The vast prairies of Alberta, Canada were lonely for a small girl with big dreams. Boredom, along with an intense passion for music, pushed Em to pick up a guitar and teach herself how to play. Songwriting became her escape. Music became her life. Selling her college textbooks paid for her first studio session...and what started as a 5 track demo, turned into her first full length album. Her first independent release had her invited to perform on such stages as West Edmonton Mall's NewCap Stage, and as the feature performer at Banff's 2007 Canada Day festival.

With live events scheduled across the country in 2009, the release of her second album, and a lust for achievement, Em is poised to have a stellar year in 2009...dreaming it up one chorus at a time.
