Bio

With over 20 television and film credits to his name, Demetrius Joyette joins the cast of Degrassi in its twelfth season as hockey jock Mike Dallas. Previous to this, he appeared in two seasons of The Family Channel's Wingin' It and three seasons of The Latest Buzz - starring alongside Degrassi cast mates Justin Kelly and Munro Chambers. The role of Mike Dallas comes naturally to Demetrius as he is an avid hockey player himself. A four time Young Artist Award nominee, Demetrius also enjoys Karate and plays guitar in his spare time.

Hockey team captain, Dallas expects to enjoy everything elite players revel in -- puck bunnies, keggers, alpha male status. Dallas is a fun-loving guy who's never had to deal with real consequences for any of his actions. Dallas plays big brother to everyone on his team, teasing and mocking the boys in the locker room, but over-protective in public, lashing out at anyone who crosses him or his team.

Degrassi is a fictional, dramatic television series that tackles tough teen issues in a realistic way.
