Bio

Charlotte Arnold joined the cast of Degrassi in the role of Holly J during the series' seventh season. Until Degrassi, Charlotte is best known for playing the title character in Naturally, Sadie.

Charlotte's previous credits include the MOWs Custody of the Heart, Uninvited, Giant Mine, One Kill as well as appearing in the feature film The Safety of Objects. Charlotte was a 2001 nominee for Best Performance in a TV Movie at The Young Artist Awards in Los Angeles. In November 2010 Charlotte won a Gemini Award for "Best Performance in a Children's or Youth Program Series" for her role on the ninth season of Degrassi. Charlotte is closely involved with the renowned organization "Free the Children" and, in 2007, traveled to Kenya to build a school. She traveled again with her cast mates in 2008 to Ecuador and in 2010 to India. Documentaries were made of all three trips and aired on MTV Canada and MuchMusic.Charlotte is also a journalism student and has written articles for the Toronto Star and TV Guide Canada. A ballet, jazz and tap student of 10 years, Charlotte enjoys swimming, skating and alpine skiing.

Holly J has learned that there's more to high school than popularity and manipulation. She's just back from NYC with her heart full and tries to carry on a long distance relationship. She also comes back to find her parents really feeling the effects of the economic downturns of the recent year. Once again, they are downsizing - this is quite a jolt after Holly J has been living the life of luxury with her wealthy boyfriend. When she's desperate for money, Holly J finds creative ways to come up with cash.
