1. I need $5,000 to:
provide lunches, school supplies, subway tokens and hygiene products for the youth staying at Youth Without Shelter.
2. I am submitting to help:
Youth without shelter(YWS). It is a wonderful organization that houses homeless youth, so they can attend school. The organization also helps youth move out on their own, while giving them continued support. Last year, 75 youth moved into permanent housing. YWS houses 50 youth at a time providing them not only with necessities to survive (food, shelter, etc.), but also emotional support and academic support (tutoring). I couldn't think of a better cause right in Toronto's backyard. It is located at 6 Warrendale Court, Etobicoke, ON M9V 1P9 (www.yws.on.ca).
3. Why am I submitting?
First and most importantly, I am submitting this because I would like to help these youth that inspire me. Most of the youth at the shelter are coming from abusive homes, and since been in and out of foster homes, but they still have the strength to put their energy into their schoolwork. This strength inspires me, and reminds me to appreciate all that I have been given. For their inspiration I would like to give back to them.
4. Who will this benefit?
This past May my fellow Rotaract Club members at York University put together 50 school lunches. This was enough for one day. However, our club with the proper resources can do much more than this. We would like to optimally provide lunch for them once a week. As well, if given the opportunity we would like to buy them the school supplies they need for the year, supply packages to help youth move out (bed linens, blanket, pillow, dishes, pots, pans, towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, laundry basket, and laundry detergent), personal kits (hygiene products they need), and subway tokens. The goal is to provide them with their basic needs, so they can concentrate on school!

1. I need $5,000 to:
Help Rebuild Baseball diamonds for my community that got destroyed due to flooding.
2. I am submitting to help:
The Oxbow Minor Ball group to help rebuild Baseball diamonds that got destroyed this summer due to an unexpected flood. These flood waters were the water that struck North Dakota tragically, and left families in Southern Saskatchewan, Southern Manitoba, and North Dakota devestated because they lost thier belongings and houses.
3. Why am I submitting?
I am submitting because baseball is one of my favourite sports ever, and nothing makes me happier than watching everyone enjoying themselves and having a great time. It brought my friends, family and community closer together and everyone who enjoys baseball will benefit from new ball diamonds. There are lots of ball players and families who enjoy watching ball in our town, and would really appreciate help towards rebuilding the diamonds after this devastating flood destruction.
4. Who will this benefit?
I will put the $5,000 towards helping rebuild the diamonds, whether it is new gravel, dugouts, or fencing/stands. We will also be fundraising as well by holding a dance. The diamonds may have washed away, but my community's faith and spirit haven't. We are very determined to fix it and I am hoping you can help us!

1. I need $5,000 to:
Buy a variety of musical instruments for children in the hospital.
2. I am submitting to help:
The Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
3. Why am I submitting?
I am submitting this because since my 6 year old cousin was diagnosed with cancer about 3 months ago, all she's wanted was music. It is true that music and creating music helps the soul to be happy. I think this will benefit not only kids like my cousin, but also all of the parents and family members too. It is a wonderful feeling to see a person who hasn't smiled in weeks or even months, laugh and play because music is surrounding them.
4. Who will this benefit?
I will buy amazing, fun musical instruments that kids will love and enjoy, and will work to create a program in the Stollery Children's Hospital where kids are able to create music.
