"Thanks to the incredible talents of MuchMusic, we have discovered our hidden talent for ladder jumping. How appropriate that we are climbing the charts one rung at a time, only to fall INto the loving arms of our amazing fans. Great job Much and thank you for the wonderful experience"
- Marianas Trench
1. 8 foot ladders are heavy. Far heavier than we anticipated. At an average weight of just under 30 lbs, they are unruly. Other things that weigh about the 30 lbs? A flat tire, a microwave, 3 human heads.
2. Floating lanterns are even more unruly than 8 foot ladders. They never stay where you want them to. They traverse, undulate, and even camber. Jerks.
3. Sparks are awesome.
4. Director Chris Wong is terrified of heights. His fear of jumping off an unruly 8 foot ladder is known as Octladaphobia. Mariana's Trench however were fearless. They couldn't stop jumping off the 8 foot ladders and clearly do not suffer from Octladaphobia. What's also clear is that we made Octladaphobia up. That's a fact.
5. Josh injured his ankle prior to filming. But in true rock star fashion, shrugged it off and climbed the ladder for a take. Then he climbed it again and jumped. Then he climbed it again and jumped. Then he climbed it again and jumped. I think you see where were going with this. We heart Josh Ramsay. He's a dream.
