VideoFACT, A Foundation To Assist Canadian Talent, was created in 1984 by Moses Znaimer and Bernie Finkelstein (Chairman of VideoFACT).

Faced with the question of how to increase the number and the quality of Canadian music videos available for airplay, the two came up with the idea of VideoFACT-a program of non-recoupable grants set up voluntarily and funded entirely by the MuchMusic Network.
