MuchFACT, A Foundation To Assist Canadian Talent, was created in 1984 by Moses Znaimer and Bernie Finkelstein (Chairman of MuchFACT).

Faced with the question of how to increase the number and the quality of Canadian music videos available for airplay, the two came up with the idea of MuchFACT-a program of non-recoupable grants set up voluntarily and funded entirely by the MuchMusic Network.
