Hip-hop is no R&B when it comes to love songs. Though it doesn’t get the credit it deserves for ballads, hip-hop has some stone cold classics. It doesn’t suit every artist, but even some of the hardest rappers out there (lookin’ at you Dark Man X!) have it in them to serenade a lady.
And so, because today is Valentine’s Day, RapCity has hand-picked 15 songs that will guarantee you some kinda of lovin’ on this February 14th. And if you do manage to strike out, well, it’s all on you. I mean, who can’t score blasting “I Need Love” on the stereo?
