Lupe Fiasco – “Bitch Bad” (video)
In “Bitch Bad,” Lupe Fiasco demonstrates that he is not willing to follow the herd. He critically compares hip-hop lyrics and videos to blackface cinema. The music video draws parallels to Spike Lee’s film Bamboozled (2000). Both films deal with the racial stereotypes which are sustained through popular culture. They encourage viewers to think while they watch.
