I think St Matthew deserves to win as we have great school and community spirit and leadership. St Matthew has held the Bear Hug 3 times raising money for cancer research, in 2004 the first time, raising $108,000 and breaking the Guinness world record for largest group hug. the second time, in 2008 we also raised a large amount for cancer research, but failed to break the world record. The third time we successfully broke the world record again and raised over $500,000 for Cancer research! I myself participated in all three as my Mom brought me to the first one as an 8 year old and I was attending St Matt's for the second and third ones. I can't describe the awesome feeling of positive emotion I felt for what we were all doing! Apart from that St Matt's is known for it's academic and athletic achievements. I am proud to belong to this school and feel that we make a positive contribution to our community!
