In 2004, teen girls fell in love with the boy toy in Keisha Chante's "Bad Boy" & "Does He Love Me" music video's. Born & raised, Jonathan Poirier, JDiggz is the music industry's newest heartthrob.
Indeed, any mc can put together a catchy hook and spit 16 bars of regurgitated nonsense, but it takes real finesse, swagger and style to construct a new sound in music. With the highly anticipated LP " Memoirs Of Playbwoy," JDiggz introduces the world to his suave hypnotic flow.
Joining the ranks of the brightest young stars such as Juelz Santana, Chris Brown and Bow Wow, yet maintaining a distinctive sound, this Toronto native began his musical career at the tender age of 7, writing rhymes with his older brother in their basement. "I grew up in a family where musical ability was a foreign tongue, so it was odd that my brother & I, had an ear for music," Diggz says. Producing his own beats by 10, JDiggz's knack for everything musical has been remarkable since he could reach the mixing board. Years later, Diggz and Scotch went on to form a production team called Starbwoyz Music. They have produced several Top 40 records for soul sensation, Melanie Durrant. Records such as, "POP," "EDDY" & the "LET ME REMIX" featuring Kardinal Offishall. Just recently, Diggz produced the smash commercial for Smirnoff's Raw Tea Malt beverage. The two-minute plus viral music video received a staggering million plus views and features on CNN and trade magazines. Veteran Video director, LITTLE x requested for the talents of Diggz to make Smirnoff's new product a hit!!!!!!
Highly respected producer Rahmel (Melanie Durrant) discovered the dynamic duo through a mutual friend. JDiggz seductive song "Hypnotic" caught the attention of Rahmel and in-demand video director LIL x (John Mayor, Usher, Sean Paul and more). This controversial club banger is the underground "liquor anthem" for the streets.
At the top of 2005, JDiggz's popularity was raised to new heights. Diggz began to perform with some of the biggest names in the urban world, which included J Records recording artist Mario (Let Me Love You) at the iconic Kool Haus. As a result of his riveting performance, Diggz was recruited to be a support act for Aftermath/G-Unit recording artist "The Game" for his National Canadian Tour (18 Cities).
After a successful tour, Diggz was preparing for his highly anticipated music video. "Puush It Up" was the epitome of raw energy and hip-hop with dancehall vibes. International video director, LIL x created the ultimate visual masterpiece for this contagious party record. The smash video became a dance phenomenon & one of Much Music's top streamed videos. This sexy irresistible club track created a frenzy on the dance floor!!!!
Another infectious song titled "Make It Hot" demonstrates the confidence of the "Memoirs Of A Playbwoy." The rhythm exudes sexiness and raw energy. Then Diggz wanted to produce a record that reflected the T Dot culture. "Gimmie Dat" is a good vibes record with a Caribbean influence that has everyone singing along. Music lovers will appreciate the emotion & energy embodied in his collection of works.
Stay tuned for this newcomer!! The multi-talented JDiggz is going to introduce his innovative sound to the hip-hop world. "Memoirs Of A Playbwoy" the album will most definitely strike a cord with young listeners & impact pop culture.
