What's a shortcode?
Who's got time to enter a ten-digit phone number? When your cell phone asks you where to send your message, enter the MuchMusic shortcode. Our shortcodes are 332211 and 70707. They're like regular phone numbers, but shorter!
What's a Keyword?
A Keyword is used at the beginning of your message to tell MuchMusic what action you are trying to use.
Keyword examples:
NICK- enter this before registering the nickname you want to use.
How much does it cost?
Each message you send to 70707 costs $1.
Each message you receive from 332211 costs 15 cents.
Does it cost me money to manage my profile?
Yes, if you want to do it through your phone. You can also manage most of your preferences , like changing your nickname, free of charge through the web.

Do all messages appear on screen?
All text-to-screen message will be viewed by the MuchModerator. If there's time, and your message is appropriate, we'll post it. We can't guarantee that all messages will appear on-air.
Who's this "MuchViewer" I see sending messages onscreen?
"MuchViewer" is the default name you are assigned when you send in a message without registering for a nickname. If you want to personalize your message, make sure you have a nickname.
Can I pick any nickname?
Yes. Your nickname has to be under 10 characters. Make sure it is appropriate to appear on-air, otherwise, we will replace it with MuchViewer.
Once I have a nickname, am I stuck with it?
No, you can change your nickname at any time by sending NICK followed by your new nickname to 70707, or by adjusting your MuchText Profile

Can everyone see my phone number?
No. No one will see your phone number. Your personal information is completely protected. The only way someone can message you directly is through your nickname, which doesn't reveal your phone number. Don't forget, you can change your nickname at any time.
I think I'm subscribed to SMS messages, how do I unsubscribe?
If you're subscribed to SMS messages coming from our shortcodes 332211 or 299299, just reply STOP to the last message you received to unsubscribe.
