What kind of programs does Bravo! provide?

"Beyond the Screen" on Bravo! is an analysis of contemporary film, hosted by internationally respected media education scholar, John Pungente, SJ. This program is a compelling and entertaining deconstruction of popular movies that is fascinating to everyone interested in film.

How much do your media education programs cost?

Nothing – they’re available free of charge to educators in Canada.

How can I get a copy of one of your media education programs?

Because we air many of our programs during special commercial-free telecasts intended for educators to tape and use in the classroom, we encourage you to record them yourself. Air dates and times are listed in the "Current Shows" section of this website, as well as alongside our Study Guides. If you are unable to record the programs, or the show you are interested in does not have a program time listed, you may ask us to send you a copy of the one you want. Send your request to Calla Dewdney.

Just go the "Study Guides" section of our website, click on the guide you want, and press "Print" on your computer. If you are unable to access the guides for any reason, please contact us at callad@muchmusic.com and we can send you a copy.

I don't want commercials in my classroom, so how can I use your media education programs?

We have ensured that all of our media education programming is commercial-free, for just that reason.

I teach outside of Canada. May I use your media education programming?

At this time our media education programs may only be used by educators in Canadian classrooms.

I teach in an elementary school. Should I use your programming?

Our media education programs are specifically designed with a teen and young adult audience in mind (for example, we don't recommend that children under the age of 12 watch any MuchMusic programming). As some subject matter may not be appropriate for all students, we suggest that you screen our programs before using them in class to determine suitability.

Do you have a mailing list?

We have an educator database which allows you to receive any media education mailouts or updates that we may send out from time to time. To sign up, simply go to the "Teacher Registration" section of the website, complete all of the requisite fields, and submit your form.

Will you send me junk mail if I sign up for the educator database?

No, the database is only used for media education-related mailings. Your information is kept private and will not be shared with third parties.
