COUPLA QUESTIONS: STONE SOUR

When Corey Taylor (left) and Jim Root (right) from Stone Sour stopped by to chill with the MOD crew, we asked them a coupla questions and accidentally spilled the beans about which frontman dissed them on a popular metal website.

[Team Digital] In addition to Stone Sour, you're both members of Slipknot (Corey's #8 and Jim's #4), so what do you miss most about performing without the masks?

[Jim] My face is a lot less hot, but I actually sweat more without the coveralls on.

[Team Digital] Speaking of head gear, Corey we notice you're wearing a hat with a picture of Jack Skellington from Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'. What's your favourite Burton film?

[Corey] It would have to be 'Ed Wood'. There are so many one-liners in that film, you just can't go wrong. 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' is a close second though.

[Team Digital] We heard that when your drummer Joel Ekman fell off his drum riser and fractured his wrist a while ago, you called (former Megadeth drummer) Jimmy DeGrasso to fill in. What's your favourite Megadeth song to warm up to?

[Jim] To warm up to? Man, I don't know if I've warmed up to any Megadeth songs, but my favourite song of theirs is probably 'Skull Beneath The Skin'.

[Team Digital] Sweet. Megadeth totally slay. Speaking of metal mayhem, we were checking out an interview that CKY frontman Deron Miller did on Metal-Sludge.com. When asked 'what was the last thing you destroyed?' he said 'a Stone Sour CD'...so is there anything of his you'd like to destroy?

[Jim] The CKY album. It's garbage. (When we told Jim about the diss, he went over and told Corey. Neither of them had heard about it)

[Team Digital] Uh oh...hope we didn't stir up any trouble. So finally, what are some of the best live shows you've seen this year?

[Jim] Radiohead in Vienna, Austria and The Lost Prophets in Des Moines, Iowa.
[Corey] Actually one of the best shows I saw this year was CKY opening for Guns N'Roses...even if they did diss us.
