2014 was a great year to be from our fellow commonwealth member to the south, Australia. Not since the heyday of Olivia Newton John has the country had so much to boast about.

Although you wouldn't know it by her rap voice, Iggy Azalea is from the most Australian named place of all time Mullumbimby. Her debut album The New Classic hit number three on the Billboard chart and she became the only artist since The Beatles to have songs at numbers one and two simultaneously with "Fancy" featuring Charli XCX and "Problem" with Ariana Grande.

The biggest boy band since Once Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer also comes from Down Under. Their first single "She Looks So Perfect" debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 100 and their fan base is so rabid they even launched their own fan convention. Plus, Australian mega-writer and singer Sia solidified her pop dominance with the huge hit song "Chandelier".

It was also a great year to be an Aussie actor with Liam Hemsworth dominating again in the latest Hunger Games movie and his brother Chris being named the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.

So we are all down to just relocate there right? Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!
