ALL ABOUT BUZZ
“I live for music and Tinseltown gossip,” says Traci. And who can argue? For the past 10 years, this Pickering, ON, native’s been a surefire source for hot entertainment headlines. Here’s why… In ‘95 she Hosted RapCity on sister station MuchMusic, followed by a move to Citytv Toronto in ’96 as the station’s Entertainment Specialist.

From 2000-2004, Traci thrived in L.A.’s celebrity scene -- guest starring on hit series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Lizzie McGuire, and reporting from countless red carpets as the Hollywood Correspondent for Star!News. She even honed her Hosting skills on these shows: F.Y.E.- For Your Entertainment (entertainment weekly), Extreme Close-Up (celebrity profiler) and, most recently, Style VIP (top stylists uncovered).

Along the way, Traci interviewed hundreds of stars - everyone from Diddy to Denzel Washington. So it’s no wonder she made a seamless transition from L.A. to M3 in August 2005 after just one audition. Fiercely chic and always ready to dish, Traci’s a lively Virgo who’s all about buzz.

RIGHT NOW, TRACI WANTS PEOPLE TO KNOW…
… that “every day is a new chance to pursue your dreams, spend time with loved ones and be an uplifting influence on everyone you come in contact with.”

BEYOND THE GLITZ ‘N’ GLAM
Traci’s passionate about being a positive role model, especially when it comes to underprivileged youth. In fact, she’s taken time to talk to students about setting goals and surrounding themselves with positive influences. “I had great guidance as a teen,” she says, “so I feel strongly about helping those in search of a better life path.”

Time Flies

Am I really writing the blog for episode 9? Where did that time go? Down to three contestants! I'm still upset about Tim being gone...to me he just has the whole package. Yes, he couldn't do an interview or a proper throw - but again I attribute that all to nerves. Okay enough about Tim, let's deal with the three we have left. I'm a big fan of all of them, they all really come alive on the screen...although Nikki is the standout simply because she is drop dead gorgeous! Their challenge was difficult - come up with a concept for a video for Lindsay (she's the young lady who sings the VJ Search's wicked theme song).

I was really surprised by Erik's pitch. He had obviously done his homework, he had a lot of information but he seemed more interested in reading from his laptop than engaging Lindsay and the video director. But when Erik's idea didn't win and he was assigned to the craft services table he threw himself into the job with the same enthusiasm that he gives to his on-camera work. Impressive!

Sean's idea was the most original. He came up with the concept of Hide n' Seek, it could have been a winner if he had flushed it out more. On the other hand his interview with Chris Ward was great! Sean even managed to get Chris to talk about dancing with The Temptations! Cute!

Nikki did well in the pitch meeting although her concept wasn't so far away from Erik's (I have to break here to express my surprise that everyone had a scene in a jailhouse/courtroom in their pitches...I didn't get it). She had some jailhouse rock idea that wasn't really unique, but she has a likeability factor that helped her win the challenge. Nikki's use of cinematography lingo also didn't hurt. Nikki also did a good job interviewing the video director.

Overall I felt the panel deliberation was a little less exciting, we missed KARDI. It was really awkward not having him there! I love Robin and Steve.,.but it definitely felt like we were incomplete without having Kardi's input. That's probably why we didn't get rid of anyone!

But we did introduce the wildcard! Oh were the final three pissed! Nikki especially did not appreciate the fact that she went through all these challenges only to have one of her competitors come back! That's life in TV babe...it ain't pretty!

Until next time! The Search is On!
