It's a reality show, a proving ground and a free-for-all with the ultimate prize: a dream job as a MuchMusic VJ! And this year, we're taking it to a whole new level: the Penthouse...

It started with the cross-Canada tour - the VJ Search Team hit 23 cities and made 32 stops from coast to coast - where VJ hopefuls strutted their stuff for the cameras and assembled crowd. All the while, we also accepted video entries sent by mail.

On January 30 @ 8pm on Citytv nationwide, VJ Search: The Series begins. Hosted by Star!TV's Dina Pugliese, it's a no-holds-barred 10-episode reality series and the most intense job interview ever devised. An Expert Panel comprised of industry insiders - Much VJ Legend Steve Anthony, Intergalactic Rock Star Robin Black, MuchMoreMusic's Traci Melchor and Rapper/Producer Kardinal Offishall - will put the VJ Hopefuls through their paces.

From 20 semi-finalists, the field will be narrowed to 10 - and those lucky 10 will enter the luxurious VJ Search Penthouse in downtown Toronto for the final stage of the Search. And the penthouse? Yeah, we've wired it for 24/7 video and sound. You'll bear witness to all the cat-fights, all the trash-talking, all the sexy behind-closed-doors action and all the tearful confessions on your TV, online and on your mobile phone. And eventually, when all the dust settles, there will only be one - the new Much VJ!
