Sound Kapital (Bonus Track Version) - Handsome Furs

Album Review

They say the more things change, the more they stay the same. And though Handsome Furs have broken up since the release of Sound Kapital, their legacy lives on as Polaris Prize nominees.

Handsome Furs created Sound Kapital first as an album deserving of a nomination as well as being an exploration of taking Canadian indie to places it hasn't been, pushing the borders of this particular sound farther than the Great White North. While listening to Sound Kapital, it is interesting yet not surprising that the album was written exclusively on key boards. The frenetic and high energy demands of Sound Kapital surpass the resonating sound of traditional pen and paper methodology.

Our favourite songs from the album include Damage and Repatriated. Listen to Sound Kapital and revel on the their everlasting sound that will live on even if the band does not.
