2000 Recap

If you haven't heard the infamous tale of the cookie, listen up. Lenny Kravitz was set to perform for the second time of the night, but he decided at the last moment that he wouldn't set foot on stage until he got his hands on a chocolate chip cookie. The sugar must have done him good, cause both of his onstage appearances were stellar - including the monumental show opener with The Guess Who. We're just getting started here. At the time, the MMVA's still had Electric Circus dancers who were wearing the least amount of clothing as possible, and Blink-182 claimed them as their personal posse. Moby and Destiny's Child (with a spankin' new line-up) were there to perform, and members of *NSync - Joey and JC, no less - made the crowd go b-a-n-a-n-a-s. Oh, and apparently B44 was really big at the time.
