This was the first year that the awards loosely took the appearance of what we see today, and it was the first time that they actually happened in the ChumCity building - seeing as though they were held on a TRAIN in 1990. Anyway, there was actually a pretty rowdy crowd dominating the parking lot in '91 to see performances from the Crash Test Dummies, Bootsauce and The Jeff Healey Band among others. Afterwards, the parking lot masses vanished and were not to be seen again until 1995. And just cause you're dying to know, Stompin' Tom Connors won for Best Country, which actually existed back then!
