The 2007 MMVAs were full of wonderful contradictions: Finger Eleven performed their smash hit "Paralyzer" from our rooftop, but the rowdy crowd was anything by paralyzed; Fergie sang "Big Girls Don't Cry," but a grown-up and newly-married Avril Lavigne shed some tears of joy when she won the People's Choice Award for Favourite Canadian Artist; and then Alexisonfire performed "This Could Be Anywhere In The World" when in actual fact this COULDN'T be anywhere in the World! This type of show only happens in Canada, bitches! Fellow performers of the night -- such as Hilary Duff, Billy Talent, Belly and Maroon 5 -- would strongly agree. No contradictions there.
