Simple Plan are probably like, MMVA royalty these days. We have super solid evidence, mostly having to do with the fact that they just picked up their fourth People's Choice: Favourite Canadian Group trophy in so many years. That's domination, yo. Before the boys shredded through "Perfect World" on MMVA rehearsal day, we pulled them aside for a coupla questions!
Your worldwide spread of fans is super impressive. Does that come from hard work and touring or relatable music?
Pierre: I think it's a little bit of both. I think it's, well, you have to have yourself on the radio first of all. For some reason people want to play us, and they did, and we went out there and toured. It depends on the places. Europe worked cause we went back and we toured all the time cause there really was not much support in radio. Australia we toured a lot and after doing that they started playing us, so it's sort of coming from both. Everything has to come together at the same time. You have to tour, and you have to have your songs on the radio. It's kind of like -
Chuck: (just arriving) Is the question, "what's the secret to your success"?
Pierre: Sort of. Internationally.
Chuck: Oh. Go there!
Sebastien: (singing) Let's gooooo there!!
What country has the best food?
Chuck: Japan.
David: Japan.
Pierre: Japan and Italy.
Jeff: You know, I like Switzerland.
David: I think Italy is awesome.
Jeff: I think it's a tie between Japan and Italy.
Jeff: If New York City was a country, that would be a good one.
What's been a really outlandish idea you've had while writing your new album that everyone's been like, "NO. But maybe!"
Pierre: "Let's make a new record".
David: It was actually my idea.
Pierre: Yeah. And we actually all agreed!
Chuck: Boom.
Pierre: Another outlandish idea is I wanted to record in a church, but apparently everybody here doesn't believe in God.
Chuck: I really want to do - no, it's not funny, it's true - I really wanna do like, Temptations vocals. I want to do that.
Pierre: Don't give it away, dude.
What's the craziest place that you've found inspiration?
Chuck: I can think of the craziest place I've found perspiration.
Pierre: I guess in an airplane. Like, you're flying and you think of an idea of a song in your head and you can't record it, and when you land you've lost it and it's over.
David: Me, it's in my dreams. I could write the best song in the world in my dreams then you wake up and it's like, oh! I can't even remember it!
Sebastien: I got a good one once while riding my BMX.
What's the best thing you've gotten for free?
Pierre: XBox 360, today!

We talked to Dallas about making videos, new Alexisonfire material and going on tour with Dashboard Confessional!
We pulled frontman Patrick to ask him a coupla questions about their upcoming album, high school dances & John Hughes!!
It's not like it's any surprise, but Tom and Dave from Hedley are the office jerk types.
Do the cool, calm and collected Metric gentlemen practice their moves offstage? You probably know the answer to that one.
