Black Eyed Peas
The first limo arrives to reveal four stylish and very energetic Peas who bound out of their limo one by one. Fergie's wearing a fitted black tank and an apple green printed Marilyn skirt with silver shoes. "There's nothing worse than going on a date and being disrespected," she says, adding that the guys in the Black Eyed Peas would make great dates.

Billy Talent
A tank slowly descends across Queen Street accompanied by some no-nonsense military music. Rick climbs on top of it and peers over the lid to reveal Billy Talent! The boys stand atop the tank and raise their arms, stoked for their 9 nominations. Ben reveals how excited he is to see The Arcade Fire and Alexisonfire perform, and to be in front of so many adoring fans.

Sum 41
Stevo and Cone casually make their way across the red carpet in rickshaws, adorned by some Harajuku girls they've "borrowed" from Gwen Stefani. Both Stevo and Cone look sharp in sunglasses and fitted black jackets with shirts in complementary white and red. The pair are so excited to be on the red carpet that they forget that the next leg of their tour will be taking place in Germany!

Ciara
Ciara arrives wearing a popular look this evening - a fitted white tank with skulls on it and sporting waist length strawberry blonde hair and a large diamond ring. She comments on Rick's success at the 1,2 step the day of rehearsals and the lunacy of the eager crowd.

Ashlee Simpson
Ashlee Simpson emerges from her limousine and premieres her new blond hair for the first time in Canada! She's wearing a black v-neck dress with glittered ruching and a ruffly skirt. "I can't wait to see The Killers and to interact with the audience during my performance."

Alexisonfire
The laidback boys from Alexisonfire wheel onto the red carpet in a 1989 Golf convertible, and George, wearing a Germs t-shirt, remarks that they are likely the only stars who arrived on the red carpet in their own vehicle. What do they love most about performing for their fans? The money, the fabulous cars and hanging out with Rick C., of course!

Jamie Kennedy
Jamie Kennedy arrives looking casual in a grey blazer with screenprinted guitars on it and is accompanied by director harv. He plugs his upcoming rap single “Rollin’ With Bob Saget” featuring the Full House dad.

Mo Pete
No stranger to style, Mo Pete of the Toronto Raptors arrives on the red carpet in a Rolls Royce. “What’s not to love about Toronto?” he shouts to an enthusiastic crowd.

Vivica A. Fox
In town once again shooting season 3 of Missing, Vivica A. Fox is her usual stunning self in a gold fringe top and matching bag, accessories and fitted jeans. “The crowd response is amazing. Some of my favourite artists are performing tonight!”

Jeff Burrows (The Tea Party)
Jeff Burrows shares his favourite past MMVA moment - meeting David Bowie and the Smashing Pumpkins, and hanging out with VJ alum Steve Anthony. What’s next for The Tea Party? A summer festival tour with Def Leppard and one of their own this fall.

Jakalope
The first smart car to grace the red carpet wheels its way across Queen Street, and a pink head peers out - it’s Katie B. from Jakalope! “I was afraid that [Billy Talent’s] tank was going to run us over!”

Jully Black
MMVA presenter Jully Black shows up on the red carpet and plugs her upcoming album. She’s wearing a sexy white top with silver trim, green cargo pants and long dangly earrings with pulled back hair.

Massari
The award for the fiercest wheels of the evening goes to Massari, who arrives for his red carpet debut in an orange Lamborghini Murcielago. He's coordinated to the very last detail with sunglasses, a black suit, orange shirt and silver, black and orange striped tie.

Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich
The newly married reality couple are welcomed to lots of cheering - Amber says she’s never seen fans like this, and Rob adds that Canada knows how to throw a party.

Kalan Porter
Kalan Porter, wearing a fitted green blazer and ripped jeans, and sporting his trademark curly hair, arrives to screaming girls who are moved to tears by his appearance.

Fefe Dobson
