As one of the most controversial and media savvy performers to emerge in the 90's, Marilyn Manson has created an empire of the genre often referred to as "shock rock." As the self-proclaimed "Antichrist Superstar" Manson has never been a huge success with his critics, but has undoubtedly tapped in to the youth market, amassing legions of fans that have helped to make him a mainstream anti-hero.
